What did the Southwest wear?
Men from the pueblo wore a shirt, breech clout ( or loincloth ), and kilt of soft deerskin or woven cotton, with leather moccasins or sandals made of woven yucca fiber on his feet.
Women from the Southwest wore a garment of woven cotton in the shape of a large rectangle that was wrapped around the body and fastened on the right shoulder. A wide cloth belt was then wrapped several of times around the waist. Women often went barefoot, but sometimes they wore high boots of deerskin.
Both men and women usually wore their long hair braided, double over, and fastened at the back of the neck .
